Law & Order Comes To Metropolis

Rumors abuzz today that Christopher Meloni of Law & Order: SVU fame is the latest in talks to join the cast of Zack Snyder's upcoming Man Of Steel.

Some of the loudest rumors place Meloni as the next Lex Luthor to hit the big screen. However, after a day of rampant speculation on the role Meloni may be in talks for at sites like Spinnoff Online and E! Online, Vulture reports that they have confirmation from Meloni himself that "he'd be instead playing a general in the movie." (Vulture. May 25, 2011)

Meloni says that he will "shoot his part over the course of five months in locations including Chicago, Vancouver, and Edwards Air Force Base." The role is reported to have the actor in scenes with Cavill.

Russell Crowe to Play Jor-El in the Man of Steel

Fresh off the wire from Variety: it looks like Russell Crowe will play Superman's Kryptonian father Jor-El in Zack Snyder's Man of Steel.

Crowe will be joining the cast of Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner in the film coming to theaters in late 2012.

Also, it sounds like Christopher Nolan will also be looking for a big name to play Superman's Kryptonian mother, Lara along side Crowe.
