Back in the 80s, this would have had more meaning. But now, I think that this is a showdown between the bloated comic icons of the 90s and the bloated comic icons of today to determine who is Marvel's top dog after all. With the X-Men getting the short end of the stick.

The Avengers have the advantage if only because the X-Men, like, JUST split into two factions.

But the Avengers have New, Secret and the Academy groups. They outnumber them. But I'm hoping Scott's Extinction-level group can win out but I doubt Bendis will let them.
