I've heard that Synder's book is the best of the Bat books. So how is this Court of Owls arc? Good, decent, overblown, what?

Back in the 80s, this would have had more meaning. But now, I think that this is a showdown between the bloated comic icons of the 90s and the bloated comic icons of today to determine who is Marvel's top dog after all. With the X-Men getting the short end of the stick.

In case you haven't heard, DC has decided to move ahead and publish seven mini-series intended as prequels to the seminal Watchman series. They've gathered quite the talent pool for this venture ranging from Azzarello to JMS to Amanda Conner to Darwyn Cooke to Len Wein.

I've been hearing good things about Slott on ASM lately. So how was Spider Island? I'd heard that, unlike Fear Itself, Spider Island was handled far better as an event.

How about some of the previous arcs like Return of the Spider Slayer? Comixology has pretty much the whole run of ASM from Brand New Day up to present so I was looking to download some stuff.
